I'm kind of hoping global climate change continues to give us mild winters. Except that's where our water comes from. A few carefully organized monsoons per season could balance it.
I've heard the "global weirding", too, although I am not sure where. The winters in upstate NY aren't really milder, but they are at a different time that when I was young-- starting and ending later, with an extended fall and very truncated spring.
I am making socks for someone for a gift exchange tomorrow! I will be giving them one sock, and I feel like I have been knitting like crazy for the past week. I really thought I could finish in time. I id finish a scarf for someone else at the theatre, and I was working on another scarf that I scrapped. I need to get 2 more done for X-mas.
