The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I kinda want to go to SF to run in the far side run and see the new California Academy of Science. But that seems like too far to go for a run and it's on Sunday which is a bummer. If it were on Sat, it would be way more doable.

Come to SF!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat--J & I have just been talking about the same thing. We haven't had a single party or even people over to dinner this entire year--and the year is almost over! Not a good thing to realize. With funerals and birthdays and health things, it seems like our families took up all our people energy.

In better news, we got this potting bench (cheaper than this link because it's discontinued) [link] and put it together and it looks GREAT! It doesn't seem like you could actually fold it up, but we don't plan on doing that anyway.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the way to do it in "Real America."

White America, huh?

Every time I think about President-Elect Obama, I gleefully think, "Oh, my god, you guys, we elected a NERD."

And it turns out I spent all weekend worrying about work for no reason.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Not all of white America, ita. LA doesn't count.

Re: Heroes they killed the brother AGAIN??? Can't get a break.

LA doesn't count.

At krav it's the standard knuckles to knuckles then you tap bottom of fist to top of theirs and vice versa.

Daps.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

And he doubled the meds that are making my appetite rage out of control. Whoops.

Celery and brocolli may be your friends if you're worried about that side effect making you over-indulge.

I am ambivalent about having recently joined Facebook. It's nice to have the updating wall thing with a slew of Buffistas, and it also happily reconnected me with The One Who Got Away this past week. But it's depressing to discover how many people I knew in HS went into conservative ministries as adults. And a number of people that I have absolutely no memory of have sent me friend requests—if we went to school together, I was completely oblivious to their existence.

Broccoli might do it. I'm eating insane amounts of cereal to satisfy my sweet tooth, but at least it's organic multi-grain oats cereal with soy milk. And I've finally finished the chocolate cake. Next CI test recipe is chocolate chip cookies, and despite having all the ingredients I'm not touching it with a six foot pole.

Ha! The Wikipedia article on dap mentions the Obamas. No mention of terrorists, but I suppose I could fix that...

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Word. I also like different people. Some hottie made small talk with me in the supermarket today and I remembered part of the reason I loved teaching krav so much--new people.

Incidentally, I haven't wanted to impinge on your schedule, but Bob would like to meet you, and I'm free almost all the time.

I have no schedule--just good days and bad days (and, lord, I want to go to the ER right now like whoa, but will not). If you're willing to come down here it's more likely I can meet up--I'd love to, but I'm stupidly fragile.
