Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have no schedule--just good days and bad days (and, lord, I want to go to the ER right now like whoa, but will not). If you're willing to come down here it's more likely I can meet up--I'd love to, but I'm stupidly fragile.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'll shoot you an email.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Beverly, holding you and yours in my thoughts. She just might surprise all of us -- no lack of stubborn in that woman, for sure.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So, I want to track down his military records. I've got his SSN, but I need his service number. I'm going to ask my sisters if they know of any documents that might have this information, but I'm also asking the Buffista Hivemind if they know of any way to find a service number back to World War II.

Ancestry.com has a bunch of records that could have that information. (If you don't want to sign up just to look up that, I've got a subscription -- you can shoot me an email with the info you know, and I can check sometime tonight to see if they've got anything.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

I am ambivalent about having recently joined Facebook. It's nice to have the updating wall thing with a slew of Buffistas, and it also happily reconnected me with The One Who Got Away this past week. But it's depressing to discover how many people I knew in HS went into conservative ministries as adults. And a number of people that I have absolutely no memory of have sent me friend requests—if we went to school together, I was completely oblivious to their existence.

For a bit there, mine seemed like it was turning into my high school. Which would have made me abandon it altogether. However, the influx of high school friend requests seems to have slowed.

It's still very world-collidey with people from high school, work, Ohio friends, new Wisconsin friends, buffistas and bronzers for me. If any of my family gets on there, I am doomed.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I'm on hold with a potential vendor, and they have no hold music to let me know I'm still on the line

Well, nevermind - they just cut me off.

Fingers crossed they still exist, since our marketing department just invested a fortune in designing new DVD labels for these printers.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Folks who are looking for WW2 records, I live in College Park which now has the National Archives main storage building and have a researcher's pass. It's been years, but I should be still able to get access. Obviously there are no photocopiers on the researcher's floor but I could do most of the grunt work...

Cat at vet, car at mechanic. AND! Mechanic gave me a loaner in case they can't finish it today!

And I just dumped water down my front. Cap to waterbottle wasn't on tight.

Today is another bleed money day.

And for the person whose father's records were lost in the storage fire, you may want to try again, they have since made efforts to recover records that were held by other agencies (the VA had literally tons) that duplicated the files that were lost in the '73 storage fire...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That reminds me--I need to make a vet appointment and a car appointment.
