"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Global warming produces fucked up weather not necessarily just hot weather, no?

I believe that's why many people use "global climate change" these days.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm not sure that's so paranoid, Burrell -- that particular crazy isn't all of climate change denial, but it's a part of it.

(edited because megan is wise on climate change vs. warming)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Perhaps I should clarify. In my more paranoid moments I suspect that such people currently occupy the White House.

I wonder how many people are going to start dismissing global warming because it snowed in NOLA.

OH, yeah, they'll say, "But hte earth's gone through ice ages before, and really, how long have we had good weather data? It's nothing."

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Fortunately, the new people in charge don't seem to be bullshitty about such things.

I don't know how you folks with little ones resist the urge to scream, sometimes. All I have is my niece and nephew, and Grace and Noah for wee ones who I love to pieces, and when I let myself think about the steaming pile of shit they're inheriting, my rage is not unlike the sun in its nuclear hot fury.

I don't like it when I find out that I may have to do even more Christmas shopping on top of all the Christmas shopping I haven't done.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't know how you folks with little ones resist the urge to scream, sometimes.

Too tired.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

why is it that in the area of screwing up the world Bush decided to become an overachiever?

I try to maintain the historical perspective that my children were not born into the Black Plague, slavery or a debtor's prison.

I find my rage is tempered by the same irrational optimism that led to me to have kids in the first place.

I try to maintain the historical perspective that my children were not born into the Black Plague, slavery or a debtor's prison.

That third one may be making a come back.

Speaking of rage, I get rageful when I think about how much slavery there still is in the world.
