Obama's pretty stiff at the beginning (and obviously reading from cards the whole time), but he eventually relaxes and gets some good zingers in towards the end.
I'm lucky I guess, my grandfathers attestation papers are online. But that was WW I, not WW II. I'm amazed that he's on there, because I would have assumed that he would have enlisted for France (he tried and was too young) or in Newfoundland. But he enlisted in Montreal.
a poor substitute for Killer Shrimp, which has closed
I never made it there. I am sorry about that. But I'm sure your shrimp were nummy, because I like them shrimpy.
I'm realizing that I need to spend more time reconnecting with people because being connected makes me feel happier.
Word. I also like different people. Some hottie made small talk with me in the supermarket today and I remembered part of the reason I loved teaching krav so much--new people. Like people that don't stay (although this guy might not have been kicked out of bed for eating crackers, with his cute living alone groceries and all)--they refresh me in a different way from quality time with people I care about.
I think that the new people thing is not something I crave so much. I wonder if it's because I'm around students all day?
I should go to sleep as I am actually getting sleepy. Sleepy is nice. sleeping is nicer.
Hi folks!
Kat as far as Wild Animal Park vs WAP + Zoo goes, are your parents up for two big days in a row? That might get you your answer.
I like how the terrorist fist bump has become accepted
I like how it's generally called the terrorist fist bump

Well, I like them better when there's turnover. Not something you're looking for in your day job.
Isn't this pretty?

I cracked my dad up over the weekend after I acted outraged about a couple of soldiers giving each other a "terrorist fist bump" in an Army commercial (though they kind of did it sideways instead of dead-on, which I guess is the way to do it in "Real America.")
Kat--J & I have just been talking about the same thing. We haven't had a single party or even people over to dinner this entire year--and the year is almost over! Not a good thing to realize. With funerals and birthdays and health things, it seems like our families took up all our people energy.
In better news, we got this potting bench (cheaper than this link because it's discontinued) [link] and put it together and it looks GREAT! It doesn't seem like you could actually fold it up, but we don't plan on doing that anyway.
