My earlier comments on the Obamas: sarameg "Natter 61*" Nov 5, 2008 7:37:55 pm PST

I like how the terrorist fist bump has become accepted (and how it seems to be originally a family thing.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think the "normal" and natural you talk about in the earlier post may be what strikes me. They just seem so open with their affection with each other and others.

Not that the Reagans or the Clintons didn't love each other, but somehow the Obamas seem more comfortable with it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The terrorist fist bump is still my favorite moment of the campaign.

(and how it seems to be originally a family thing.)

Nah, not really. Here's Ta-Nehisi Coates on the subject: [link]

ETA: Actually, read this post first: [link]

Now tagless for your comfort.

Somewhere in my Indiana hometown, there are several signs that read "Impeach Obama Now!" WTF?

a) He's committed no impeachable offenses. Unlike some presidents currently holding office.
b) You can't impeach someone who's NOT EVEN IN OFFICE YET
c) What the fucking fuck?
d) So fucking glad I got out of there.

Well, I meant that it was a family habit, not that they'd originated it. Sort of like how I greet my brother with "HEY DORK!" but, you know, classier.

Oh god, tonight I was trying to explain to him that the hankerchief pocket was a real pocket (on his suit,) just loosely stitched shut for appearances. At the start of the security line. So I was wiggling my pinky into the traditional gap left by the stitching, while he was wearing it. He looks at me and says loudly "Are you touching my manboob?!" I start cracking up. And then I had to sit. On the floor.

No one can quite manage not to embarrass me with stuff that would like my brother.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

He's the rep in Pasadena, my boss met with him awhile ago, Jesse. Don't know much about him, but I'm I hear the L&O CLANG CLANG everytime someone mentions his name at work.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Ok. So my parents are coming to visit in December. We are all going to go to the wild animal park. If I buy a $129 membership, that would cover the cost of tickets ($34/adult) plus free tickets into zoo if we choose to do that the next day (it comes with 4 free guest passes). or I can get the $89 membership with 2 free guest passes - enough for the WA Park but not for the zoo which we aren't planning on going to yet).

Also do I order them now so we have everything or do I wait until we get there?

What to do?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Giant Kitten Headed Humanoid Cat Fight In Toyota Corolla Ad

Huh. Says it's an Australian ad. Clearly, I'm not making my quota of FTA television.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Where do they get Abby's clothes for NCIS? I want.
