Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh Kat, I sent some stuff in the mail to you....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And they also seem to be into being parents. I dunno. They seem like a couple and not just a partnership for other purposes.

Totally. I really believe that the time away from home was a major factor in the decision to run.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

The thing that always strikes me when I see pictures of Michelle and Barack Obama is how they really seem to be in love with each other and to like each other. I don't really remember seeing that in a First Couple before.

The Reagans were like that.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Slow delay double post? Weird.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think one day, God said to Himself, "You know, I don't think people appreciate cats enough. I think I'll have Al Gore invent the Internet."

::jabs Al Gore directly into God's ear::

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I always thought -- and still do -- that the Clintons REALLY dig each other, really enjoy the massive brainiac thing that they share, and honestly love each other on that level. They just don't seem to have -- or display -- that physical connection that's so apparent with the Obamas.

I'm watching Olbermann by accident, but -- there's a Rep. named Adam Schiff?? Do you think anyone other than Law & Order fans voted for him?

My earlier comments on the Obamas: sarameg "Natter 61*" Nov 5, 2008 7:37:55 pm PST

I like how the terrorist fist bump has become accepted (and how it seems to be originally a family thing.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think the "normal" and natural you talk about in the earlier post may be what strikes me. They just seem so open with their affection with each other and others.

Not that the Reagans or the Clintons didn't love each other, but somehow the Obamas seem more comfortable with it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The terrorist fist bump is still my favorite moment of the campaign.

(and how it seems to be originally a family thing.)

Nah, not really. Here's Ta-Nehisi Coates on the subject: [link]

ETA: Actually, read this post first: [link]
