Librarian Warlord

brenda, those shenanigans are amusing me to no end, although it should make me sad that people are so dumb.

Worth every penny.

When I lived in Buffalo, the housemates and I always contracted with a local guy, and waking to the sound of the plow scraping the driveway clean at 5 a.m. was a small bit of heaven knowing we didn't have to get out of bed to shovel ourselves out to get to an 8 a.m. class.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I have to say -- how stupid is the Illinois governor? Assuming the charges are true, of course. Conspiring to profit from appointing someone to Obama's senate seat? Sure, no one will be watching *that* closely.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

And it's not like the guy hasn't been under investigation for yonks as it is. Sriously, Sarah Palin would have backed away from this one.

Oh, and it's true - they've got some crazy tape recordings.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I was listening to the "Breaking News" on WGN radio this morning. Blagoyevich was really stupid, since the wiretapping was put in place on October 29th, and he's been under open investigation for long before then on other issues. The idea that he was openly soliciting bribes for the Senate seat, and saying on the wired phone that if he didn't get what he wanted, he'd put himself in as Senator, just burns me to no end.

Also, he actually thought that he had a chance at a presidential run in 2016!!!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Does corruption make you stupid or does stupidity make you corrupt?

I like specific marketing. My inbox this morning had something from Lands End that read: "Wisconsin, the snow's piling up! Save 30% on outterwear today only--FREE SHIPPING." That's the kind of thing I want. Useful and specific.

They're going to get an order from me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Go through the agenda, make decisions, and leave them a summary of what you decided. Then give yourself a bonus for being so efficient.

Heh. It wasn't my agenda, but it was a successful meeting nonetheless. And ended on time!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh in Boston recently we had State Senator Diane Wilkerson, who refused to resign her seat after the FBI had her on videotape accepting a cash bribe and stuffing it into her bra.

I'm not making that up. On tape, and the state Senate had to schedule a vote to kick her out before she'd resign.
