You need a Little Black Dress.

I do. I really do. But I ended up trying on a number of dresses at Macy's. I almost bought a shiny green satin dress, but it was not quite right...and then I tried on this pretty Calvin Klein number that fit me FABULOUSLY...only it was silver. And because it fit me like a glove, it reminded me that the other dresses were not worth the money, even though it was not right either (because of the color). I ended up wearing a long black dress that Aimee gave me a few years ago! And buying a new pair of shoes instead. :) The coworkers were lots of fun, and N and they all got completely trashed (and kicked out of the bar we afterpartied at), and a couple of them were mad hitting on me, and it was HI-larious.

Sadly, the rest of the weekend has been much less fun.

I totally lock my door when I'm home. I walk in and lock the deadbolt before I even take off my shoes and outside pants.

This is me. Possibly too many years living in DC, but even in the suburbs in Indianapolis one night while everyone was home someone walked in our side door while we were in the living room and took my mom's purse out of the kitchen...we locked the doors after that.

David, that is awesome. Hotness!

A group of 3 were in my garage last night. DH was sleeping in the LR when he heard a cell phone go off about 1am. He woke and a moment later heard someone opening the door between our garage and kitchen

OH, god, that would freak me right the hell out. Though your DH has some size advantage on me. :)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I went out and got dress up shoes at Target for the fancy party I am going to tonight. I can wear size 5 kids shoes, so I got these [link] I like them, they have a 30s vibe--and you can't beat the price!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those shoes are cute! But remind me to laugh at the difference in size between our feet the next time we're together.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That's just what I was thinking, Jesse.

And your feet are even bigger than mine! (Right? I'm a 10.)

I can do a 4 kid's on a want-loose-shoes day and a 3.5 pretty easily. I think.

This year I bought only 1 pair of shoes all year: sandals at the Zappos outlet. I am glad that I bought a ton of really great fluevogs and don't feel compelled to buy new shoes because the ones I have are well made, comfy and rockin'. I think sarameg was the one who convinced me that good shoes are worth it.

OK, how do these kid's sizes work?? I wouldn't have thought there would be that much more overlap. I mean, you can wear grownup shoes, too, right, Kat?

Sure. I wear a 6.5-7 in women's. Oddly, the sandals I have which I think are a 4 (?) are a little long but also a little wider than the brand (Born) in women's.

That's just weird, then.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm a men's 7 1/2. I go shoe shopping and I feel like freak of nature, because half the stores don't even stock my size.
