Oh, my word. Lock your doors, people! Goodness. Not locking a door is like driving/riding without a seat belt to me. And if you don't wear your seat belt, do not tell me. My heart can't take it.

Glad you're feeling better, tommyrot.

Adorable Santa photo with mac.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

sarameg - those pictures are wonderful.

And thanks, brenda!

Hil (no chance you name is short for Hila, right? Because I keep writing Hila...), in the video they wrote the Hebrew name of Jesus. Not sure they meant to - the word salvation looks very similar and sounds almost the same.

Also, waking up is so tiresome, but I get to host someone from Copenhagen for the next 2 days! I love CouchSurfing. Also, I promise to do my best not to greet here with "alas, sweet prince", or "alas, poor Yorick". Or any alases.

Always Anti-fascist!

Might be too much L&O but I keep my door locked. If I'm wrong about whom I let inmy trenchant wit is not going to save me. One time my neighbor was having her pipes worked on and the guy wanted in. I freaked..."I'm here to work on your house..." was a Boston strangler trick.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Glad you're feeling better, Tom.

My sister has fallen in love with a Canadian brand of cherry preserves, which shows up erratically here at Big Lots.

Hah. It's like Coffee Crisps and things - they show up totally randomly in weird ass stores and then I get looked at weird when I buy six.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Nope, short for Hillary

OK. Thanks. Either way, my question for them would be, "Huh? Why?" Because it seems like it's quite a few steps to go from dreidel to salvation.

Religion is craxy. Still, Hanukkah is my favorite holiday. I'm excited it's gonna be soon!

hip deep in pie

Sue, are these the ones? [link]. They seem ship to Canada.

I got a product is not available at this link. I think I looked there, and they only have the basic Isotoners. She wants ones that look like leather gloves on the back, but But hey, if JC Penney ships to Canada, that's news. Anyway my friend Krista did one better than letting me ship to her, she's going to go to Target and pick them up herself. She says she loves shopping at Target.

Ginger, if you want me to look for the preserves here, I will.

My cats were making so much of a commotion this morning that I was dreaming that they dragged a bicycle halfway up the basement stairs. They are at it upstairs right now, and it sounds like a soccer team, not two cats.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Chumley was VERY indignant that I stayed in bed past 7. Kept jumping up and complaining, then I'd grab him and hold him down until he wiggled free and ran out... then repeat. It would have been annoying if it weren't so damn cute.
