mac has made his selections for grandma, grandad, and uncle. YAY! I can get them all online or by phone and will be done this week!

Ultimately Emmett picked her up and she rode on the tree the last half block home.

Hec and family have somehow fallen into a made-for-TV Christmas movie. Next I expect there will be dancing and spontaneous song.

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to put up my pre-lit fake tree. I thought I'd never give in to the fake tree, but after spending two hours trying to straighten a tree in its stand by myself a couple of years ago, I went out right after Christmas and bought one for half price. My plan for tomorrow is to climb to the top of my pull-down attic stairs and stare at the boxes that say "Christmas."

Hm. In "interesting timing" news, we just found out that another house on our block got robbed. That's two in two days. Both apparently walked in an unlocked door. Lovely. Yeah, we'll be locking all our doors all the time from now on.

I'm kind of on self-imposed house arrest this weekend to write and get other shit done. But mostly writing, since the Yuletide deadline is making me panic.

I'm fairly convinced this is happening.

It is likely that I will get a tree tomorrow. I've been debating in my mind how much I want to battle with my boys to get them to drag all the decorations down from the attic. Every year it is pretty much a solo effort to get the place decorated, but I do enjoy the end result so it will happen.

Last year I didn't decorate. Trying to work up some enthusiasm. It might help if I wasn't overheated from cooking. They promised 50s tonight, but still over 70 outside.

The Army Navy game was today. The new uniforms for both teams were cool. Army's was by far the coolest though. As you can see here [link] it's a camo helmet, camo pants, camo number and then battalion insignia's on the jerseys. So cool.

Must be something going round. A group of 3 were in my garage last night. DH was sleeping in the LR when he heard a cell phone go off about 1am. He woke and a moment later heard someone opening the door between our garage and kitchen. He yelled and they took off. Yep, door locked now. He thinks they were teens.

we totally did, last weekend. I figure I should see it and after this year he will probably be too old to want to. Especially since we never started the whole Santa is real thing (although he does it now, just to rebel). It was only a 25 min wait, but enh. I can't understand the people who go every year. not enough of a show for me to do it more than once.
