Oh, wow. This place looks great. Oh, I feel like a witch in a magic shop.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

OMG if it was at someone's house I would be miserable. As it is I am only having to call cheesy places and get quotes.

We were moving towards having our annual party at the new science museum (we always have the party in January), but she decided to pull this one this week. @@

At least she lives in my neighborhood, so I can drink and not have to worry about getting home.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I WISH we would do a potluck, but alas, no. All I want is for it to be during work hours, because all I really want is time off. No, that's not right - what I really want is a gift card for the amount I know we were budgetted per person.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

They have potlucked here in the past. As the New Party Planner, I have kiboshed this for a served lunch at the local Irish Pub with a pub quiz.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The puppies are so rambunctious! They're like, dogs, instead of little sleeping bundles of fur.

My dog is a sleeping bundle of fur right at my feet under my desk. Not so little, though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

a served lunch at the local Irish Pub with a pub quiz.

It would have to be an English pub given my workplace, but otherwise I VOTE THIS.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Our entree choices are fish and chips, shepherd's pie, or vegetable boxty.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yum. I don't even know what I'd pick.

Librarian Warlord

In the past we've had a library party that is employees only and involves BBQ and a game of Trivial Persuit, a law school party which is for all the family and is finger food, booze and an appearance by Santa, and a university party which is more finger food, booze and cash door prizes.

I've gotten invites to the law school and university parties, but no word from the boss about a library party, yet.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Our party is the whole School (within the University) and my first year it was at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, last year it was at the Science Museum (which was AWESOME) and it's at the MFA again this year. I like going, it's big enough that you can disappear if you need to. I wish we were going to the Aquarium, which is where they had it the year before I started. Could hang with the penguins!
