hip deep in pie

I just bought my Xmas tree! I don't think it's very fresh. I feel too lazy to put it up.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why do I have this clawing sense of guilt?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tired, and I can't blame it on the cat. (This time)

Because despite the fact that they've turned assy, once upon a time, they had earned your respect. Even though they've since lost it, you still remember back in the day. You value loyalty so much, so it makes sense that it would be hard for you to let go, even if that loyalty was betrayed.

But it is time to place that old loyalty lovingly on the shelf to gather dust alongside the respect from back in the day. Sad as it is, those are old memories now.

That's such a sad, sad, correct post, sarameg.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I vote for skipping the party. After-hours = not mandatory = loyalty doesn't enter into it.

Plus, you know, KEANU.

Another friend of mine has a huge sense of loyalty to the place she works, and while they haven't been assy, it just no longer works for her. She's also having a hard time letting go to take care of what is best for her. Hell, I did too, and I wasn't even leaving my employers, just one part of my job.

Your fierce loyalty is an admirable thing about you. They just don't deserve it anymore, but it's hard to give up.

My cats are REALLY happy I (and they) are all home: MK won't shut up and is following me everywhere, Devi is very talky and lovey even after I had to scrub her chin (she had a zit thing) and Loki is braving the dreaded Devi-bitch to be in the same room with me at all times.

I should be cleaning out my fridge or making dinner right now. Don't wanna.

Plus, you know, KEANU.

You know, I'm not really sure Jess, juliana, and I count as unbiased opinions on this matter.
