I vote for skipping the party. After-hours = not mandatory = loyalty doesn't enter into it.
Plus, you know, KEANU.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Another friend of mine has a huge sense of loyalty to the place she works, and while they haven't been assy, it just no longer works for her. She's also having a hard time letting go to take care of what is best for her. Hell, I did too, and I wasn't even leaving my employers, just one part of my job.
Your fierce loyalty is an admirable thing about you. They just don't deserve it anymore, but it's hard to give up.
My cats are REALLY happy I (and they) are all home: MK won't shut up and is following me everywhere, Devi is very talky and lovey even after I had to scrub her chin (she had a zit thing) and Loki is braving the dreaded Devi-bitch to be in the same room with me at all times.
I should be cleaning out my fridge or making dinner right now. Don't wanna.

You know, I'm not really sure Jess, juliana, and I count as unbiased opinions on this matter.
I think I may have to admit I need a new tv. It took being on for 5 minutes before it would acknowledge the remotes (2 that do work, so it wasn't the remotes.) I mean, I'm going to have to switch to digital anyway and this thing gets wonky when it is warm and occasionally goes schizo when I turn it on....
Not made of money, however.
Totally what both JZ and sarameg said, Kristen's Roommate! I mean, seriously.
SERIOUSLY.
Why do I have this clawing sense of guilt?
Your mother did her job well?
Seriously, no contest. Go Keanu! Choose Keanu.
I've been at my company for nine years, and I haven't gone to a Christmas party yet.
I am almost Scola (I've been to one Christmas party in almost 9 years).
