Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I have met my niece. She is tiny and floppy and makes the most hilarious faces. I am looking forward to buying her inappropriate T-shirts and styling her hair into a fauxhawk at Christmas.

The status is NOT quo.

Aw. An auntie is born. Congrats!

Yay for nieces! And really, who doesn't love the fauxhawk?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Egad Noah is absurdly cute! I love the way toddlers walk.

I graded two paper sets this weekend. I am almost more proud of that than I am of not killing anyone over Thanksgiving dinner.

“Not dead yet!”

Barb probably way to late for me to chime in on your slow cooker, but ... might you consider Ropa Vieja?

It's a thought, but my family's recipe for ropa vieja doesn't use a slow cooker and I'm almost afraid I'd be courting bad mojo if I messed with the tried and true.

Has no rhyme or reason, I know, but it's just a feeling I can't shake.

hip deep in pie

What does it say about me that I had NO idea that Tina Fey has a pretty significant facial scar?

I have noticed the scar, but I didn't have any idea that it was as significant as it looks in that picture.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I am so impressed with hiking!Noah!

Dylan spent most of our post-Thanksgiving hike like this.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I've got to ask, Jess. Can you get him in the ergo unassisted? Because I can in a pinch, but it's always touchy, like I might drop him at any moment.

Can you get him in the ergo unassisted?

If I need to, yes, but it's easier on both of us if he's lifted in by a third party. If I'm loading him in solo, I try to do it over a couch just in case.
