Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Do you remember where you left your outside pants?

Outside, duh.

Remember, going outside carries the George Michael seal of approval.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I was baking banana bread but didn't have quite enough smashed bananas to fill out the recipe, so I added some pumpkin spice soy milk for moisture and it turned out YUMMY.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Bah, I don't want to go to work either. But I have Friday off, so that'll help some.

Banana bread sounds yummy. Me, I have crock-pot lentil soup with sausages. Should go eat it and feed the dog.

I've been watching LotR: Return of the King. If ever I need to kick-start a good cry, the end of this movie is the thing to do it. Geez. Also, Legolas? Still hot, the girly elf.

Right? It's been a while for me, too.

Our wings are not tired

I have to teach tomorrow morning and then tomorrow afternoon I fly to Sacramento, then possibly out to Orlando on Wednesday night. I'd much rather be home next week.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yup. Definitely don't want to go back to work. And furthermore, the SO has a cold, so I may be going back to work alone, which is way worse. However, he pulled the wagon for me when I was in crazy melty land, so fair's fair.

Still, I feel pleased overall with the break, which we needed for serious. Today I finished putting up the shelf in the woodshed. And I did this in backwards order, but I organized the cabinets, too. But now that the shelf's in, I'll be able to put stuff in the woodshed that is currently sitting in very nice cabinets in the house. Go storage space!

I pretty much got everything done I wanted to, including cooking, except for swapping out winter clothes. That rather requires open space on the bed, which D. is currently occupying.

I am wearing outside pants Right Now, I'll have you know, long after they were required. Harumph. I had to wear outside pants, because I lit the advent candle at church today. I didn't burn down the church or anything, so I guess it went well. I had an anxiety dream about it last night, wherein I and D. and the pastor all had to do a little dance number. Hee. So when it turned out all I had to do was read off a piece of paper, I was fine.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I realize I have inside pants that are actually different and separate than my pjs.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I realized the other day that I have inside pants for slounging and inside pants for cleaning.
