I'm here with Kristen and Polgara. We're ready to go to the ER, crack her head on the concrete, and refuse to allow her treatment so she doesn't become addicted.
No you're not. You're all here 2000 miles from California visiting me for Thanksgiving, and have been all weekend. So clearly it would have to be some other group of righteously indignant people who made Dr. McSadist fall down and go boom if the police have any questions, right?
If they aren't with you they are at least 50 miles away with me watching a show in a darkened theatre. I'm certain I see them sitting next to me.
Or else they are hundreds of miles away with me, eating thanksgiving leftovers in Olympia Washington. And certainly not beating on that asshole doctor who I guarantee you is not a pain specialist, and got her ideas about "making an addict" from the Reader's Digest.
I think after this that Doc might become a specialist on pain after some first hand knowledge.
I'm concerned about the drugs, too,but not more than the incapacitating PAIN, you know?

One of the points of a pain specialist is they've already considered that, weighed one against the other. The ER docs are NOT supposed to over-ride that.
Thanks KRM. If they ask, we've never met. Complete strangers.
I've asked my GP for a referral to a specific pain specialist. Not that I haven't already had one. The ER attending was full of bright ideas for my pain management, but she didn't suggest anything I hadn't already tried.
This totally belongs on many people's Christmas as you wish list.
God, ita. I'm sorry for people being assholes to you, and I wish you didn't have to go through this to begin with.
I also wish that you (well, and me) could electrify annoying people from distance. You know, to make them shut the fuck up or to make them feel some pain.
Just a thought. What, that doesn't make me a sociopath, does it?
Oh, billytea. Much ~ma to your sister, her kid and family.
Thinking of your family, billytea.
