That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Is it way too early to decorate for holidays? I want to put the lights up!

I just put up my tree. I won't decorate it until after T'giving, but I have people coming in to visit this week and I'm throwing a brunch on Sunday. I wanted the tree up for Sunday, but I know i won't have time to do it all this weekend.

I generally don't decorate until after T'giving and everything comes down New Year's Day.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Now for a last minute trip to Target and the grocery store.

What do you like for travel munchies?

I usually take baby carrots and beef jerky. Last flight I was on was from DC to Memphis, I offered some jerky to the guy in the seat next to me. He declined and gave me the stinkeye. It turned out he thought I was offering him chewing tobacco.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The puppies are having a 6 way tug of war with their pee pad.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I went to Trader Joe's at 11 AM on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and it was not insane. Me & the guy behind me in line decided everyone was sleeping in.

I also had a nice chat with one of the staff about the TJ's house-brand scotch. He even said that if I didn't like it, I could bring is back, which is one of the reasons I really like that store. And then I bought a bottle of Prosecco and another of sparkling wine and this is why I can never get out of there for less than $100. My shopping list only had 8 items on it, and they didn't even have two of them (King Arthur white flour and fresh ginger, which I should have expected)! ::sigh::

This is a different one from their earlier version, right? Will you let me know if you like it?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

While we were discussing my holiday travel plans, my sister just asked me what I was planning to do for my birthday. And I said, "Um. Probably nothing?" And now I feel kind of sad and lame.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I also recommend ditching the tree in the interregnum between New Year's Day and whenever you have to go back to work. Otherwise you wind up in a horrible, holiday hangover space.

What do you do when you have to work in between Christmas and New Year's? Which, by the way, this year IS NOT ME. I'm already trying to round up plans, so I don't sit in my apartment all week.

Also, I went to CostCo, but must have just missed the rush. It took me a while to find a cart, but my checkout line wasn't too bad.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I decorate sometime durring the first week of dec and then take down the decorations about 12 days after xmas.

today , boys and girls, our word for the day is VENTALATION. As in I put on the self cleaning cycle of my new-to-me range before I went to the store and came home to a house full of smoke. I did open some windows -- but I knew this oven was readly dirty -- Now the entire house is open and I have 4 0r 5 fans going...d'oh. Seriously what was I thinking ?

I don't tend to carry food with me, even for cross-country flights. I eat airport food.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I often bring goldfish crackers and an apple. Also, something of a chocolate nature, Raisinets or m&ms.
