9:15 heard 3 gunshots. Or maybe backfires. Get both here. Start paying attention. 5 minutes later, a woman screaming as if in grief. Grab the phone to call 911, though it seemed far away. First police car pulls up.
Full contingent arrives, including a ...well, formal cap, not just beanies or no hats. It took A LONG time for the ambulance to leave and they weren't hurrying. Sad, stupid world.

No shit. This place does go up and down with the economy with a frightening close pace. It's the worst I've seen it, which is kinda ironic, as the rest of the hood is actually doing better, getting more stable, and probably will remain so as a lot of the new business is respectable discount business, which thrives when the economy sucks. Just not this slice.
So who wants to visit me now???
