Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I decided to be super lazy and went with potato wedges and cajun chicken.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just got a ping for a job that pays less than I want and lasts a month. I can take less than "enough" money for a month, but I'm worried about messing up my resume and downgrading the whole thing.

Not to mention they want me to work Saturdays. I don't know if I'll be able to cope.

But still...money.

You could always leave it off the resume if you do take it?

Oh lord, Devi just discovered the knitted mouse Loki's been killing for a while (and Devi's ignored for years!) She's walking around with it, crying mournfully.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You don't have to put a one month job on the resume, ita.

Having been through it once without one, I would LOVE to have a doula at my next childbirth if I can afford it.

We had a doula for Emmett's birth and it really helped a lot. Especially since it was a first time experience for me (as well as the mother) so we had somebody to guide us and be an advocate for her. Didn't have one for Matilda's birth and that was fine too. At least for me. JZ might've watned one, but having gone through a birth, the second one I had a clue of what was happening and why.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If I see these in one more place, I'm going to have to get one.

Hey, are the puppies in reruns or something? The soft bed is gone.

Is it ethical to create a living woolly mammoth out of recovered DNA?

Umm, what exactly is the ethical issue? Why might it not be?

Neanderthal? Ends up as special needs kid under constant media scrutiny, like a lot of the British royal family.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Umm, what exactly is the ethical issue? Why might it not be?

Personally, I don't think there is. But I think some have argued that... I dunno - maybe it would come back not quite right, and thus suffer.
