Last year, Jennifer Crusie bought Butterscotch the Pony for Patricia Gaffney as a gift after Pat had complained on a writer's critique group that a bunch of us were on that she wanted a pony

I'm just saying that one is freakier than the one Noah has. At least Noah's is still clearly a rocking horse.

OhmyGAWD, the BBC's How Clean Is Your House? show had a real Clutter House case on -- with rooms so jammed up with stuff that they hadn't been entered in years. It took three British-size dumpsters to haul all the garbage away....

This makes me feel much better about my housekeeping.

I'm irked because I can't find Gerber Long Sleeve Onesiesin the right size (18 months or even 24 months) anywhere and Gerber doesn't sell them direct on their site. GRR.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was confused by Jesse's post, but figured it out.

I've sent posts to a neighborhood site and to the orphanage site to try and get rid of some of the stuff we just cleaned out. Hopefully I will get replies on at least one tonight. Ok, stuff to basement time.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

...he's posting a travel blog. Some of his pictures are absolutely AMAZING.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

ION, I can't decide if I should go to the grocery store and/or get my nails done.

Is it a choice between looking good or eating for a week? Cause I'd have to go with the food having option.

Well, my plan for today was get up early, eat, shower, quickly do my grocery shopping, come back and start my laundry and finish writing my resume.

When I got to Walgreens, I had to wait for a couple of prescriptions so I impulsively signed up for a flu shot. I wound up waiting over an hour! Then I had to finish my shopping (3 stores). I left at 11:30 and just got home and it's almost 4:00! grrr.

ION, my bosses told me yesterday that they will have to lay me off, but they will keep me on the payroll until I find another job. Huge relief! They are also lobbying for the idea of me looking for a job up in Iowa where my family lives. I admit, this has been in the back of my mind since my parents died. It would be nice to be close to my 2 favorite sibs.

So, I have to get this resume finished so it can be forwarded to a couple of companies in Cedar Rapids, with the hope that I could set up interviews over the Thanksgiving holiday.

This is a radical mind-shift for me, but they have logic on their side, since I have to find a job anyway, and I would love to move back to Iowa. I just didn't see it all coming.

So, Sox, if you are around, Ima gonna try and send you something soon.

And any other Buffista HR types, if you'd be willing to give it a quick look, I'd be grateful.

Iowa~ma would be appreciated!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is it a choice between looking good or eating for a week? Cause I'd have to go with the food having option.

Nah, it's more a choice between leaving my house or not. It's looking more and more likely like "not" is winning, at least for the rest of today. This is the biggest adjustment I have to make with the end of daylight savings -- just because it's dark, doesn't mean I can't leave the house!

ION, my bosses told me yesterday that they will have to lay me off, but they will keep me on the payroll until I find another job. Huge relief!

Wow, bad news/good news. Good luck with the search.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Wow! That's great to still be getting paid until something else comes along. I'm sorry about the layoff, though- I hope it leads to new and exciting life decisions though! Sometimes these things happen for a reason. (so they say)
