Is it Butterscotch?

Butterscotch colored or named?

It's this one, a gift from our friend David who also thought it was important for Noah to have a wading pool. It's a lovely gift but, it's currently too tall for Noah and freaks him out a bit. And me too.

The pork butt and the turkey won't be smoked until tomorrow and the turkey is a test run for thanksgiving. I'm thinking about doing a Pioneer Woman style thanksgiving .

I can't even imagine how much butter that would require!

ION, I can't decide if I should go to the grocery store and/or get my nails done.

“Not dead yet!”

Butterscotch colored or named?

Both, actually. Last year, Jennifer Crusie bought Butterscotch the Pony for Patricia Gaffney as a gift after Pat had complained on a writer's critique group that a bunch of us were on that she wanted a pony.

So we were having this miniconference (the one in Cincinnati last year, Teppy) and Jenny brought this pony in, and we put it together, then one of the girls who lived in Maryland and had driven, stopped in Pennsylvania on her way back home and left it on Pat's front porch.

So Pat has a pony. And it whinnies and moves its head and is generally very freaky.

HA! Seriously.

But I was thinking more of style than actual recipes since I'm not trying to feed a gabrillion.

Turkey
mashed potatoes of some sort Bourbon sweet potatoes
Green beans and almonds
pumpkin cake with whiskey whipped cream
whiskey glazed carrots
Apple crisp with maple cream sauce.

I'm just saying that one is freakier than the one Noah has. At least Noah's is still clearly a rocking horse.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

OhmyGAWD, the BBC's How Clean Is Your House? show had a real Clutter House case on -- with rooms so jammed up with stuff that they hadn't been entered in years. It took three British-size dumpsters to haul all the garbage away....

This makes me feel much better about my housekeeping.
