Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Back from the vet. I can't believe how expensive that shit is. She clipped his nails, which I didn't even ask her to do, and that was another $18. Seriously?? Then she was like, maybe he has a thyroid problem, and that test turns out to be $48! Meh. Of course I would rather spend the money and find out he's fine, but still. Also, he's fatter than ever, and should apparently be eating expensive food. Stupid pets.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Dear Santa,

Could I please have a library like Barb's?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am cleaning the house and doing chores and mac is sitting on his butt watching tv, which is fine, but then he sees me taking pictures of his clothes to ebay and he starts whining that he should get any money from them. Zip it kid, when you buy the clothes, you can get the measley returns, I mean really.

“Not dead yet!”

Hey y'all-- a friend of mine, her boyfriend is a photographer specializing in outdoor and underwater photography. He's off in Malaysia this week, doing a Photo Week and he's posting a travel blog. Some of his pictures are absolutely AMAZING.

As stunning as some of the fish are, I think I'm partial to the sea turtles because all I can hear is Crush from Finding Nemo:

"First it was like whoa, then it was like WHOOOOOA, then it was like, whoa."

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Bwah! Ah, how capitalism looks to the young.

Hey, maybe not yet, but at some point you'll be able to hire him to do the listings for a cut.

I went to the open house. Very cute, and very small. But it turns out the realtor is mom-friends with someone I work with everyday! I think I've seen her at other open houses. I like her. So she's on the List. She also told me about another house in the area that was open. So I went over there. HUGE. And appropriately huger price. It was also really nice. So was that realtor, so I'll put her on the List too.

Anyway, I guess it was successful. I think I can do this. Up soon: talk mortgages.

Aaaand need to get MK back in to the vet to adjust his insulin again. He's peeing in front of litterboxes again (sure sign it needs to go up.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat, I think today's a no for me. Thanks, though. This last change of meds is really not working.

That's awful, ita.

I'm just going to focus on not going to the ER before my specialist appointment Monday morning, and not eating everything in sight. I'm not used to this new, medicine-induced, appetite.
