Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

One of the towns in this county will not tolerate blacks to live there. Realtors won't even show a black family a home in Homosassa

The town is called "Homosassa" and the bigots are worried about Black people? I want to start a gay resort there out of spite.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The town is called "Homosassa" and the bigots are worried about Black people? I want to start a gay resort there out of spite.

"Yep, this is Homosassa, located jes' three miles out of Spite. Y'all have a fabulous time now."

Librarian Warlord

if T and her dad aren't planning on going down for the Inauguration, I'd like to see if I could take her (& msbelle & mac if they decide to come down.) It IS a school and work day, but... It'd be awesome.

My house is open to any Buffistas that want to crash. When we run out of beds, there is floor space.

I have to work today, bah!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hmmmm... you never know, I might still be unemployed then. (Though I hope not).

I DO have a brunch this weekend! Which means I'd better get some Stuff done today. If it doesn't rain, I'm going to have to rake some leaves....

Our wings are not tired.

Got caught up, but now time for me to get to work.

Morning news skim found this: [link]

Women who experience migraines may actually have a 30 percent lower risk of developing breast cancer, say researchers from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Sounds a bit like fuzzy science, but any kinds of link that they find in research may lead to relief for the people that suffer from migraines.

“Not dead yet!”

The town is called "Homosassa" and the bigots are worried about Black people? I want to start a gay resort there out of spite.

::sigh::

Yep. Used to be, I could go down to Miami in order to get away from the bass-ackwards freakiness that is the majority of the rest of the state, but with my mother acting nuts over getting back together with my father, even that's out.

I should just sneak down and hang out with my sister and try not to let my mother know.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just remembered a fun piece of semi-political gossip -- my coworker apparently knows the girlfriend of Reggie Love, Obama's body man. How exciting would that be???

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

The town is called "Homosassa" and the bigots are worried about Black people? I want to start a gay resort there out of spite.

Yep...Homosassa. It's full of, ummmmm, interesting people.

They would never allow a gay resort to even get off the ground. It would be interesting to see it try. They barely allow bars in this county. There are no strip clubs or adult bookstores here, either.

Several years ago Homosassa made the news when John Cooey kidnapped Jessica Lunsford from her bedroom, held her hostage, raped and killed her.

It's also known for manatees...yeah, sea cows.

I need to get out of here.
