When they gave neighborgirl T the pain shots in prep for tooth extractions (or it may have been brace application,) her dad and the assts had to hold her down. And she was 12. It was total lizardbrain takeover. She's old enough that once it was over, she wasn't mad at anyone and find it a bit funny how she reacted.

Happy birthday, sumi!
Poor mac noodle, but I can see his point. Some of them shots HURT.
I might try to explain lizard brain to him, he might get that, and then we can talk about not letting the lizard brain take over. It would pertain to more than this aspect of his life.
That's what happens in Hammer Time.
Does this mean we need to 'stop'?
Devi was all lizardbrain when this appeared on my balcony: [link] I think she forgot what glass was and kept bonking her head.

Poor Mac. Pool MsBelle. I hope he learns soon that shots are not evil but are inevitable.
What I hated as a child was sweet red-flavored medicine, particularly the "cherry-flavored" penicillin that had to be kept in the refrigerator. I grasped fairly early that a shot or pills were alternatives to the horrible liquid medicine. I think my first full sentence to a doctor was "Can I have pills?"
I want Hammer Pants to come back in just long enough to get a pattern-- a boss of mine had the pattern and they were great for making haunched animal costumes, like rabbits.
I haven't tried to consume anything called "french vanilla" since...ever due to a course of liquid antibiotics of that flavor. I don't know if it was particular vile or if I had a reaction to the anti-bs.
I know when my brother went to the peditrician to get shots he often had to be held down.
I had to take lots of pills and capsules as a kid, my parents tried everything and a few times had to resort to basically forcing the pills down my throat.
I may have a pattern of something similar from the 80s Sophia. I will look.
