Thrive to spite them

I know when my brother went to the peditrician to get shots he often had to be held down.

I had to take lots of pills and capsules as a kid, my parents tried everything and a few times had to resort to basically forcing the pills down my throat.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I may have a pattern of something similar from the 80s Sophia. I will look.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I still can't face artificial cherry flavor.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Happy Birthday sumi!

Ordered a dining room table and chairs.(The one we're using is rather old, and G's mom said she'd buy us a one as an anniversary gift. Actually, several anniversary gifts, to be specific)

Also bought new bookcases and a new scanner.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I grasped fairly early that a shot or pills were alternatives to the horrible liquid medicine. I think my first full sentence to a doctor was "Can I have pills?"

Yeah, I've always been good at taking pills. I remember swallowing children's aspirin whole, because the taste was so nast.

I realized the lack of ability to take liquid medicine was a liability in college, when I could neither chug nor do shots.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So I've got a question. I was at my usual brewpub, and, unfortunately, had to sit near a bunch of other regulars I despise due to their sense of entitlement. That's not the issue here, but I overheard two of them making fun of a person across the bar, who's gender was in a little question, as being an example of a Salem freak. Then, one of them, noting that person writing in what looked like a journal, commented something along the lines of "OH! And they're left-handed too!" as if this was a criminal offense.

WTF? Is being a southpaw still a stigma? It just wasn't worth it to get into it over either issue, but the latter was really REALLY weird to me (on a personal level - like Obama, I'm a southpaw - GO TEAM LEFT HAND!!!!).

Is this still a thing?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thank you msbelle.

I am also ashamed to admit that I was about 30 before I stopped having to be held down and attacked with a tongue depressor to get a throat culture. I have a really hair trigger gag reflex.

I also don't have dentist fear, but the novacaine they gave me for my root canal was really traumatic and gross.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, sumi!

Owen tends to freak out at the doctor, too. But he's getting better now. I hope next time goes better for you and mac, msbelle.

Getting ready to take the kids swimming at the YMCA. If all goes well, they'll wear themselves out and sleep really well tonight.

Happy Birthday, Iris!
