You know what they say about payback? Well I'm the bitch.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hmm. I think I can make an argument for saying she's their adopted sister, and they're her adoptive brothers. I think.

Also, several of these articles are making a point of saying how Shoshana isn't as successful as her brothers. Of course she isn't! They've got fifteen years or so on her -- she's just a few years out of college.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I had to hold him and three of us had one arm to give him a half flu shot and ppd test. Unbelievable.

I was like that with needles when I was his age - totally phobic. I have memories of leaping off the table and running out of the room screaming. Pretty sure I had to be strapped down at least once.

My mom eventually talked me into being able to close my eyes and think of something I liked REALLY REALLY HARD so I wouldn't be anticipating the sting. Which is why every time I get blood drawn to this day, I can smell strawberry ice cream. It's a bizarrely strong sense memory.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We had practiced the closing his eyes, even while hugging me and turning his head away, but as soon as the Dr was in the room (the second time) he freaked again and then he was so loud that both nurses came in which made it worse. I was unsympathetic by then, which I know made him feel worse, but that is how it went. We get to do it again in 3-4 weeks.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

MC Hamnmer pants are coming back. How do we stop the insanity?

Whoa, did the board just go back a few days?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

When I was a kid we our doctor made house calls--one of the last to do so. My brother hated shots and when he was about four once ran out of the house naked and ran down the block screaming "Help, my mother is trying to kill me!" It took three people to get him back inside.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Whoa, did the board just go back a few days?

That's what happens in Hammer Time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh -- fear of needles must be terrible for everyone.

Apartment building gossip -- I think the guy downstairs is finally moving out. He told me months ago that he wanted to get out of his relationship, and I just now saw him with boxes....

When they gave neighborgirl T the pain shots in prep for tooth extractions (or it may have been brace application,) her dad and the assts had to hold her down. And she was 12. It was total lizardbrain takeover. She's old enough that once it was over, she wasn't mad at anyone and find it a bit funny how she reacted.
