Aw, Scrappy, your charming DH is the best, and will probably get a pesty email at some near point.
As good-karma payback, may I offer up my latest encounter with our downstairs neighbor Pete? We ran into each other in the building lobby and were talking Netflix, and he started raving joyfully about
Lars and the Real Girl,
which is now his favorite movie of the year and possibly of the last few years. He thought it was beautifully written and incredibly charming, and he was very excited to hear I knew someone who could personally pass on his love and praise to the writer.
All of the puppies are back! I was wondering if they had gone to their new homes or something.
(yes, the day is dragging and I have little to do).
Happy birthday, ChiKat!
I'm hoping to do very little this weekend aside from grading. Um, and housework.
Oh dear, dinner is in the oven and Isaac is about to fall asleep! No! Stay up long enough to eat, THEN you can sleep.
Not only are they back, Perkins, but they've discovered that their mattress lifts up! It's madness.
Happy birthday, ChiKat!
What are people doing this weekend?
Finishing the revisions and art list for the book ('cos it's due Monday, eep!), having a big birthday party at Ye Olde Spooky Club, and going to my parents house for a birthday dinner.
Yesterday two of them were wrestling while they were completely underneath it, which was really fun to watch.
We went for fish fry (VERY good) and a retirement party tonight. Tomorrow is swimming at the Y with the kids and going to see Madagascar 2. Sunday, sleeping.
DH is watching Wizard of Oz for the first time and he keeps freaking out about it.
I imagine that the puppies will go at 8 weeks. Some of them a bit earlier: possibly over Thanksgiving Weekend. (Although, getting new pups over a holiday weekend isn't usually advised.)
Sophia, yes I am now trying to get a gauge. I was just being lazy before and not going with actual paying attention methods. It's looking like what I ripped out tonight was actually the right gauge. I think I just need to knot it up tighter next time. pita.
First time? are you serious Cash? I can't count the number of times I've seen it.
In her tap class, Frances is learning a dance to "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead." Sooo cute.
