Natter 62: The 62nd Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have been such a FSA slacker. I brought the paperwork into work today since I didn't do it last night. Not only is it a mess, I have a ton to submit, over $1K. On the one hand YAY! OTOH, I could have been using that money.
At least I got one claim faxed in today before I left. 2 more need agency sigs and I need to do the form on another.
This weekend: karate, dr appts, playdate at our place, a movie for me and hopefully ebay listing.
Sun: church then family pictures and then homework.
What are people doing this weekend?
Well, I'm not going to be driving the car. It's back in the shop and it'd take $2,800 to fix it. Which is way more than it's worth.
So instead I will be going to Little League tryouts tomorrow, standing all day in a baseball field with a clipboard and a latte and casting judgment on other people's children.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday ChiKat!
No real plans this weekend. That's ok, the next two weekends are conventions....
4 of the puppies are AWOL.
I am knitting the back to a baby sweater for the 3rd time and I swear it still does not look right. I can't remember what size needles - did the front on, so it is a matching problem.
(Do people still say that? I hope not, because I like being WAY behind the times.)
I don't think people say "dag" anymore either, so we're in good company, anyway.
Also, I would avoid the gagging cat next time.
I have no plans for the weekend. I'm considering going to a department store and letting them sell me some makeup, because I'm back on that again.
Can you measure the stitches per inch and compare, msbelle? I really need/want to get knitting again as I find it very soothing-- espcially things like dishcloths and scarves.
I read this really strange article about women living lives of the 50's, 40's and 30's. They seem crazy, but their houses are really nice. Maybe it is made up, since it is the Daily Mail. [link]
OK, I can kind of get 40s and 50s, but 30s?? Great Depression 1930s????
Great Depression 1930s
Everyone pulling together, simpler role models, yadda yadda yadda. I noted at least one of them uses the Internet.

Actually, according to the current online blue book, it's just exactly what it's worth.
Bleah. I have such an epic lack of knowledge as to how to buy a used car.
Plans for the weekend:
Tonight: Drink a martini, maybe watch a movie.
Tomorrow: Take Matilda to circus class, take her home for a nap, try to write (I really want to go to the protest, but it conflicts with both the class and the nap, and it looks like there'll be protests all over the Bay Area almost daily for the next month at least)
Sunday: Take Matilda to church, get ferried around by grandparents, come home and GO TO A CONCERT WITH LEE.
