Fresh Market is the debbil.
I now have flank steak marinating in a coffee peppercorn marinade, there is organic baby spinach which will be lightly sauteed and tossed with bacon bits, buttermilk bleu cheese crumbles, fresh croutons, and dried cranberries that have been reconstituted in a bit of brandy (because I LIKE cranberries, Bitches!). There will be Basmati rice as well and for dessert, fresh banana bread that I'm about to bake
I blame Fresh Market entirely.
Because it's the debbil.
What does one wear to a 'give up hate' party?
An Obama/Biden t-shirt?
Serious: Good luck, bonny!
That's why I'm stuck eating the stuff out of a can each Thanksgiving. There aren't enough people in my family who like cranberries to make it worth while to make the real thing.
Pish tosh. The whole berry kind takes about twenty minutes and all you really have to do preparation-wise is "don't burn it".
{{{Bev}}} Peace to you, love. I hope your mom gets to see #99. However, IMNSVHO, her greatest accomplishment was the wonder that is you.
Indeed, this. Peace and strength to you and yours. I join the chorus that insists you should get away and renew.
Mmmmm cranberries. We usually have at least 2 varieties. Can with ridges as well as mixed with nuts and other stuff. We might be headed to the Keys for Thanksgiving this year. Plans still up in the air. No surprise there.
Vibes headed your way, bonny. Would love to see the worksheet too.
bonny, thanks SO much!

Tom, you can get really good (so I hear) cranberry relish-type stuff at Trader Joe's; you could take that to Thanksgiving so that you could have cranberry happiness.

Yes, you can, and it is Teh Nom.
We have to have the real kind and the rings, or there are riots at the table.
For the fresh kind, it's just cranberries, sugar and an orange or two. We used a meat grinder (so much fun when the berries pop) but I'll bet a blender would work fine too.
insent amy and laura.
Really gotta go, but I have one last question for our expense oriented folk:
The college is paying mileage on the car I borrowed. What is the going rate these days?
I go for the whole berry. I've found the recipe on the back of the bag to be quite sufficient, but I like the thought of switching out the white sugar with brown sugar. And maybe a splash of booze.
bonny, when you get a chance, could you send me that worksheet, too?
I was going to try to get something accomplished today, but they are having and NCIS marathon for Veteran's Day and I can't seem to tear myself away.
