Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Tom, you can get really good (so I hear) cranberry relish-type stuff at Trader Joe's

Yes, you can, and it is Teh Nom.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We have to have the real kind and the rings, or there are riots at the table.

For the fresh kind, it's just cranberries, sugar and an orange or two. We used a meat grinder (so much fun when the berries pop) but I'll bet a blender would work fine too.

Compassionately intolerant

insent amy and laura.

Really gotta go, but I have one last question for our expense oriented folk:

The college is paying mileage on the car I borrowed. What is the going rate these days?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I go for the whole berry. I've found the recipe on the back of the bag to be quite sufficient, but I like the thought of switching out the white sugar with brown sugar. And maybe a splash of booze.

bonny, when you get a chance, could you send me that worksheet, too?

I was going to try to get something accomplished today, but they are having and NCIS marathon for Veteran's Day and I can't seem to tear myself away.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

You could make my aunt's frozen salad in the Buffista cookbook.

I come from a mixed family. My mother and I only like real cranberry sauce; my sister and my late father like(d) the can-shaped stuff. We always have both, and I too make it right off the Ocean Spray package. I love the way the cranberries pop.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

~ma for bonny, and the opening of minds.

Checking my e-mail a gazillion times is not making the e-mail I want to suddenly appear.

What is the going rate these days?

We get 58.5 cents/mile, bonny.

Checking my e-mail a gazillion times is not making the e-mail I want to suddenly appear.

It'll work, eventually! (Appear ~ma, sj)

Thanks, Sparky. In case you didn't pick up on it the other day, this is the same friend you and I were discussing a few months back.

Eerie, buffistas have some sort of weird magic power. As soon as I hit send on my last post I heard from P's STBX. I still don't know what happened to their marriage or if he is able to pass my concern on to P, but he seems willing to keep the line of communication open. I truly have never seen a couple that was as glowingly happy on their wedding day as this couple was. It just breaks my heart that they couldn't make it work.
