I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I think so. They've brought back the square spaces (I never liked the circles).

Argh. AND, the girl I went on a date with and was totally meaning to email today and say "so, yeah, I didnt' feel romantic chemistry but you seem cool and should come play scrabble with us" and was feeling guilty cause I hadn't sent the email yet? And I was hoping the fact that SHE hadn't yet sent an email also meant that she wasn't feeling it?

Just got an email in my inbox inviting me on another date this weekend. Ack. Now to figure out how to say "um, yeah, so I was hoping you weren't feeling it either"

If I had been less procrastinatey, it would've been way less awkward, because she could've been all "Oh, um, totally. yeahhhh...." Sigh.

Thrive to spite them

I have a plan for Friday.

Dad's going to take us to the vets and then back to his house for the burial. You know some day someone is going to dig that up and really wonder I think there are 4 cats there now. Oh and then I'm going to spend the night at Mom's, cuddle my nephew some. Then my brother and SIL are getting back that night so we'll be there in the morning.

And I discovered that Anna has been using the cat bed Mom got her for xmas as a litter box, just to pee in. I guess she was confused. Luckily it's washable.

Unluckily my washer is broken. But I'm , thankfully, able to replace it and will be able to buy a dryer as well.

Hey. New board.

meara, she could still feel that way. I usually go to the second date, even if I'm not feeling the chemistry, if I liked the person at all the first time. She could be the same.

I've been in your particular shoes quite rarely (as the guy in het relationships, it's usually on me to send the e-mail or not) but I would usually be pretty honest: "We could hang out again, I guess, but I'm pretty sure it won't go anywhere romantic, as I'm not really feeling the chemistry so far." and leave it up to her to be like "Aww, okay, bye forever" or "I think you're wrong and I could still knock your socks off romantically" or "Yeah, now that you mention it, me too. Let's play scrabble with your friends!"

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm so sorry, Kristin.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I had a friend who appeared to be everything I'm looking for a girl but the chemistry just wasn't there. I think it took us six months before we finally figured out the sparks weren't sparking. I'm not sorry we dated as long as we did but I think it would have been better if one of us has said something earlier.

iow, Gris is wise.
