I'm so sorry, Kristin.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I had a friend who appeared to be everything I'm looking for a girl but the chemistry just wasn't there. I think it took us six months before we finally figured out the sparks weren't sparking. I'm not sorry we dated as long as we did but I think it would have been better if one of us has said something earlier.
iow, Gris is wise.
Yeah, that WAS the second date (which is why I went on it--the first one was fun, but I was kinda like "was the good friend chemistry, or good anything-more chemistry? I can't quite tell..."). Guess I'll carefully craft an email tomorrow. I'm really kicking myself for not sending the email earlier, because it lowers my chances of the friend-convert, which I was really hoping for, because she did seem really cool. But it's a tricky play, and any added awkwardness brings your stats on that one down (to make it a huge sports metaphor there ;)
All my sympathies, Kristin.
Oh, Kristin, I'm so sorry for you and for all of your kids and colleagues. And especially Olivia's sister. You're all in my thoughts. Healing-ma and dealing-ma your way.
(((((Kristin))))) I'm so sorry. From what I hear she was an amazing young woman. So much -ma to you, your school and her family.
Yeah, that WAS the second date
Ah. Yeah, then, no going again. Good luck with the friend-convert, though. You could probably still pull it off if she's actually cool and you're straightforward about it, unless she REALLY likes you romantically.
And because it deserves its own post, {Kristin}. I'm so sorry.
I'm sorry, Kristin. Peace and strength to all her loved ones.
Kristin, I'm so sorry.
Meara, go on the second date, but what you said before is what you should say right away - like between drink or appetizer order and dinner order. It seems maybe salvageable, but only if you put your cards on the table in that kind of interval.
Or maybe I'm craxy, I'm not exactly an authority here.
