Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

'Hell Bound'

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Congrats Sox!

One of the guys on our helpdesk left two years ago because of the environment. He left to work at a car wash.

A year later we were under new helpdesk management and the new guy convinced him to come back. He's still back with us.

I provide this as a cautionary tale.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Daniel ordered some stuff for Christmas for me, that came yesterday - a tshirt that says, "You Never Forget Your First Doctor" and a Sonic Screwdriver pen with invisible ink that came with slightly Psychic Paper for writing sekrit messages on. The first message I wrote was "Thank you! I love you, you big geek!" Second. Best. Christmas. Present. Ever. (The best being the cat my cat-hating Dad got me when I was 8.)

One of the best parts about the present? Andi's reaction. Such glee as that should be bottled, it's like an extra Christmas present for me, too.

The Sonic Screwdriver is an authentic replica through Think Geek.

Andi is playing with the sound effect and light as I type. Wonderful.

For those who remember, and those who don't, a link to a commercial for a popular weight loss candy that suddenly took a nosedive in the early 80's.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, click and see: [link]

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think the worst problem of the world today is that not enough people are watching good tv)

I believe that Shir has uncovered an essential truth. The corollary is that the world is going to hell because of reality shows and bad writing.

UPS is still on The List. I talked to them on the phone last night and they are completely helpless without a tracking number. I'm still at a loss as to how they can have a computer call at 8 a.m. and expect someone to be able to be at home all day that day. For more than 20 years, I had to be at work at 8 a.m., so I would have already been at work. Mainly, I think the robot should at least give people a phone number or a second chance at the tracking number. I called the shipper and they're looking into it. I want my new arm things. I don't want to spend all day here twitching every time the dog barks.

Mostly lurking...

I just finished my first commissioned craft project--hats for my chiropractor's twins. They turned out even cuter than even I had imagined. I can't wait to get a picture of them wearing it. Now to package them up and get ready to say goodbye...

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Thanks, everyone. I'm trying not to think about it right now. There's nothing I can do until we know more, and we won't know more until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Unfortunately, I'm also feeling spectacularly unmotivated at the moment. I have a solid few hours to work this morning before I teach three classes, and I'm just sitting here staring at my computer instead. I think leaving the house before the sun goes up, getting home long after it's gone down, and then having several MORE hours of work before bed for the past five days is a lot of the problem. ND and I made a date for dinner tonight since we haven't really seen each other since last weekend.

The Sonic Screwdriver is an authentic replica through Think Geek.

Is it really a replica if the show used it as a base for the revised prop?

only the Buffistas would raise this issue. God, I love us.
