[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now I can't get the wife home safe, What kind of caretaker am I????

Think about how stressful the whole issue has been for you. You aren't protesting a theoretical wrong here. If all that led to too much drinking tonight, so be it. Give yourself a break.

So very much.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I saw your segregated signs on facebook and thought they were awesome. That'll be the part of the day that lasts. The rest is just an unusually long trip home, with lots of people to keep you company.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Can't get her home safe yet. You've still got the caretaking going on.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

What kind of caretaker am I

a perfectly normal one. My sister came home drunk one time to find her boyfriend had injured himself and needed to be taken to the hospital. They had to call another friend to help them because she could not drive.

Yeah, pretty much not driving when you know you can't is the kind of care taking that... is.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

you are taking care of her -- by not driving and keeping watch.

Care -taking is rarely the fun part.

Next time her turn. That is the way it works.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Also we know other buffistae and friends in the Los Angeles area who might not be posting right now but can be summoned with cell phones. Just say the word and the cavalry is on the way.

An excellent one. You're worrying about what you can do to watch out for her, but without taking stupid risks to do it. Bonus points.
