Merry Christmas, folks.
Ugh. Woke up grumpy. Woke up to the sound of my mom telling my dad to sweep the floor, and then freaking out that he was scratching it with the dust pan. And then she tried to calm down by playing Neil Sedaka's Greatest Hits at top volume. I'm watching the Yule Log now.
Merry Christmukkah!
Lasagnas are in the oven. Kids are playing Wii. I am sipping coffee with feet up watching some animated Scrooge thing.
Jolly day to all. {{Hil}} Hope the day improves.
Merry Christmukkah, Bitches!
Gifts have been opened and it's surprisingly quiet since everyone is playing the video games of their choice. Smoked turkey is coming to room temp, the dry ingredients for the latkes are mixed and I've got snoring dogs around me.
All is pretty good, at least for the moment.
Windsparrow and I are having Christmas on Saturday. I want to clean up the house and have two days off before then.
The last two weeks kinda beat us up a bit and we're looking forward to our weekend off again.
Merry Christmas, you most wonderful people!
The presents are unwrapped (the kids didn't wake until 9!)and I'm about to throw together some easy snack thing so no one starves to death before dinner.
Merry Chrisnakahaunumas Bitches!
Yes, we did in fact have Hello Kitty Toast this morning.
Happy Yulidays!
I am at mom and dad's, we have gifted, I am drinking Tower of London hot tea right now (NOM so good) and Dad is checkingout the Vargas coffee table book we got him while stuff cooks.
I just burn my knuckle on the oven. Ouch.
Soon I will be cleaning up the kitchen and myself and off to Christmas dinner!
We had a very successful Christmas here at EM's house. The only suck part (which was very sucky) was that the traffic out of the city yesterday afternoon (in the rain) was dismal. Bumper to bumper, five mph, turning a half hour drive into 90 minutes. Feh.
And then we got here and had a delicious fish stew, and a key lime tart for dessert. Matilda and JZ slept in Emmett's bed (I got the floor with couch cushions).
Emmett scored big for Christmas. The tux fits him beautifully. The pants need to be taken up but we knew that from the start. But considering we bought it online we got a great fit on the jacket. He really loooks good in it. He also got a laptop, and several huge Lego sets. He's deep into the Lego right now.
Matilda very happily flipped out about getting her Yo Gabba Gabba toys, and chewed the head off her chocolate santa with the efficiency of a mantis.
EM is napping, JZ and Matilda are at church and I'm watching Flick get his tongue stuck to the flagpole.
Later this afternoon we'll collect megan walker and go over to JZ's family for Christmas Dinner. Her brothers have both flown in, so it will be good to see them.
