Vortex, that article was evil. Do NOT do that before coffee!
ION, vw, I have a sleep study scheduled for Sunday. I had sleep apnea diagnosed 6 years ago, and I'm sure it will be diagnosed again. I'm afraid I'm headed for Darth Vader mask-ville.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Is she the one who designed Jackie's inaugural gown? I remember reading about how it was a huge deal that Jackie chose a "negro seamstress" to make her gown.
Actually, no, because Mrs. Parks retired in early 1961, on the eve of the Kennedy Inauguration.
However, as an interesting factual aside, while Oleg Cassini was more or less Jackie's "offical" designer during her White House years (he's the one who designed the pillbox hat for her, IIRC), according to HistoryWired.com, Jackie designed her inaugural gown herself and it was made at Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
I'm at an eye doctor waiting for Dave and being forced to listen to two McCain supporters talking about handouts and how $250,000 is not a large income.
$250,000 is not a large income
It's the kind of not-large income I wouldn't mind having. I'd use it to sponsor not-long distance travel to Madagascar and New Zealand, and maybe go back to grad school for some not-higher education.

Did you welcome them to planet Earth?

That wouldn't necessarily preclude her from having sewn/made it before retiring, right? Or am I miscomprehending?
forced to listen to two McCain supporters talking about handouts and how $250,000 is not a large incomeI wonder how much they pay their hired help then? If $250k isn't large, than must be nice to be their driver/maid/whatever.
I wonder if they'd want to adopt a 37 year old who works in the arts?

If I remember correctly from the book, she left without ever having actually met the Kennedys at all. And like I said, according to the HistoryWire article, the gown was made at Bergdorf's in NYC.

Will read Vortex link later.
ChiKat, glad you get a 4 day. Here the student are off for a 4 day (which will give them time to recover from Homecoming). We have an inservice day on Monday and then have Tuesday off.
My stage manager called and organized a work call for Monday. She is an amazing kid. She's got everyone organized with assignments and sat with me today to verify everything that needs to be done so I can just supervise and do paperwork.
My BDD (baby dyke diver) is at either districts or state this weekend. She is ranked #4 going into the meet. (I know she is in the top 10 divers in the state) She's still worried about people finding out she's gay; however, she is also determined to take advantage of every opportunity she can. Can we get some diving ~ma for her?

No, I was thinking of Anne Lowe, who designed Jackie's wedding dress. Close, but no cigar for Vortex.
