Simon: I, uh... I never-never shot anyone before. Book: I was there, son. I'm fair sure you haven't shot anyone yet.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I spoke with a lovely customer service person today. She was with the Atlanta airport Lost & Found. DH left his cell phone at the gate during his layover. She was pleasant and capable and explained things and gave options. She rocked.

Brendon was supposed to have a layover on his way back too, but he is staying overnight in Atlanta instead. He is coming back from New Orleans and The Runway Lights Stopped Working! So they had to shuttle people to some other airport and he won't get to Atlanta in time for his flight home. I gathered that his experience with the AirTran staff was not as pleasant as mine with the L&F chick.

Good to hear you on the road to recovery, WS.

"you can't tell anyone, but..."

I would have to interrupt with, "I can't keep secrets!" That usually gets me off the hook. I am a terrible secret keeper, and if the secret could harm someone I care about I'll turn around and blab to them the first chance I get.

y'all have been warned.

I'm a terrible wife. I couldn't help but be somewhat relieved that I don't have to pick him up at midnight in Fort Lauderdale but instead pick him up in West Palm at a more reasonable 10am.

I'll tell him to wave in your direction when he gets there. He hasn't left for Atlanta yet.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well, at least he is safe. And no, it is not terrible to value and enjoy a decent night's sleep.

~ma for Suzi.

I just realized that today was Wednesday, I have to go back to work tomorrow, and I never made it to the bank today.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I hope you are spared both from a layoff and from having to work twice as hard to make up for the people laid off, BT.

Yeah, that would be good. Especially just at the moment, not a good time to be looking for another job in the financial services industry. We're in pretty good shape financially, but we have this new mortgage and a baby on the way.

On the plus side, maybe they'll lay off my boss. His lack of socialisation has not gone unnoticed by the higher-ups.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hil, what meds were they giving you? When they give me compazine or dilaudid without benadryl I tend to anxiety attacks and feel a huge urge to rip out the needle and run for the hills.
