There's something about a food that moves all by itself that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks for the sympathy guys. Funeral is today. We're meeting up after.

Librarian Warlord

We've had a very productive morning here, but the housework is still not done. I hate how that happens.

ION, Happy Birthday to Sox's Iris!

All is well that ends in pizza.

I just found out Clint Black did a cover of Monty Python's The Galaxy Song a couple of years ago.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. My mother is driving me nuts. I've got to see a few different specialist doctors for various stuff. Whenever one of them does something she doesn't like, she tries to convince me that I should find a new doctor. (None of this has been any horrible stuff -- things like one of them isn't testing my cholesterol as often as she thinks he should -- he's testing it twice a year, and she thinks it should be tested four times a year.) If I listened to her, I'd probably never see any doctor more than twice. I think continuity of care is more important than seeing every doctor in the city until I find the perfect one.

(Also, I admitted to her that I forgot to get my cholesterol meds refilled, so there were about two weeks when I wasn't taking them until I finally remembered to go to the pharmacy, and she's now treating me as if I totally cannot take care of myself or follow doctors' instructions at all.)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy Birthday, Iris!

Shir, I saw things were getting hairy in Gaza. I hope your sister's ok

Sis is currently home, and going back to the ugly and hairy tomorrow (no offense to Gaza Strip dwellers). She'll start an overlap for her new commanding role. New commanding role means less sleep and less home for her, but she's got it without going to special training for it - so, mucho respect there. Thanks for asking.

I missed a show I wanted to go to, terribly hungry, just got back from the parents and have almost 500 new posts in Natter, and other errands to take care of. So ~ma all around, but I gotta balance some shit before addressing specific ~mas.

Also, which one of you hid my portable CD player? 'Cause that's not nice.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I'd call the vet, cats not eating for over 24 hours can be bad they lose weight too fast.

I sympathies with you over yourmom,Hil. Hate to say it but most of us with chronic conditions have times when we neglect ourselves.

I'm sure there was more , but my retention rate is low -- spent yesterday tileing kitchen. Today will be spent washing, sealing ,possibly grouting floor.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Iris!

{{Bitches}}

Sorry your mom is giving you a hard time, Hil. In our family it is the opposite. We give my mom a hard time about not getting proper medical care. And she lies about it!! My sister went to her house to mail her some stuff she left in NY and found medication she had purchased for mom that she never opened and totally lied about taking. Grrr.

Math is making my brain hurt. I am trying to help Brendon with Trig, but we can't get past the preliminary stuff because I can't remember, or find explanation for, the simple stuff. Help! We have simplified the very complex equation down to x² - 2x = 3 in about 20 steps, which we can see with the eyeballs means that x=3, but there is a mathy way to get there for an in between step (or 10) and I can't figure it out. Wah!

Yes, on the list is finding a math tutor because it has been 20 years since we did this stuff and we fail as parents in assisting at this point.
