Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay!!

Airfares are good, but I think I can't make the schedule work, more's the pity.

Anyway...Kansas City peeps!

My plan is to take a half-day off, so I will be available any time after 11:30.

Awesome.

I will have the kiddo for lunch, and I don't know what time is good for dcp, or what part of town is convenient for him.

That's fine, and like I said, if it's easier for me/us to just come to your place so he can be chill at home, I am totally good with, like bologna sandwiches, so long as I get hangout time!

I don't think either one of you are vegan/vegetarians, right?

Nope, not me. I appreciate a good vegetable, though.

My number

Got it!

Do you mind coming more into the city, Liese, or do we need to drive out a little farther?

I can come anywhere. The concert that night is actually outside of town (south) so it doesn't matter to me at all where we go.

Hi Liese,

I can't make lunch on the 3rd. I work in Lawrence and taking that much time to do lunch isn't practical with my work schedule right now. Sorry.

Liese, how much time do you have before you have to boogie back south for show prep? I have no problems meeting for lunch; it'll probably better because the Legos, they breed no matter how quickly we get M to pick them up!

Do you want to have lunch and see a sight? What kind of lunch—you want traditional KC BBQ, or something else?

Let me know; I think we can arrange a lunch time around 12:30-ish? dcp gets off work at 11:30 so that should get him time to get to wherever.

Bummer, Gud.

Strix, I think it's just lunch. They'll have setup and I'll need to be there for that. I'm not entirely clear on what time that will be: they'll be coming from Oberlin, so about a 7 hour drive.

I am totally open as regards what kind of food, but I do love a good KCBBQ! 12:30 should be great.

Hmmm. dcp, Liese...What do you think about Oklahoma Joe's or Jack Stack's? OKJoe's is off Rainbow and, ugh, County Line, and there's a Jack Stack's downtown, on the Plaza and at 90th-ish and Metcalf.

They are both very good BBQ. OKJoe is more divey, Jack Stack a little more upscale and pricey, but very good. I also like Rosedale BBQ on the West Side, and it's a true, old KC dive BBQ. I took Amy there; she can vouch.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I'd like to try Rosedale, I haven't been there before.

I'm down with Rosedale; they're off the corner of Rainbow and Southwest Blvd. I'm trying to find a sitter for the kiddo, but if not, he like BBQ and I can just let him play with the Nook whilst we natter.

What think you, Liese?
