So sad about Vortex! Weep.

I am very happy that the rest of you are starting to work out details, however. Brenda and Sail, check the website for details about navigating public transit. In short, you will take the Flyaway bus to Union Station, switch to the Metro Gold Line north, get off at the Del Mar Station, and walk about a block and a half to the hotel. I've laid it all out with details and picture and maps on the website.

Text me when you get in!

I've already printed myself up a little instruction sheet on how to get to the hotel. It sounds pretty straight forward.

Great. Did you use the map I made about Del Mar to the hotel? Google maps will tell you to go a stupid way that will add 5 minutes to your walk. They also don''t know there are two entrances to the hotel -- the one on Marengo will be closer.

Nope, I missed that. I will do a little cut and paste, so Brenda and I don't walk in circles trying to find the hotel.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Is there brunch or something on Sunday? I can't come to prom, but am free on Sunday and hope I can see all the hungover Buffistas somewhere.

Thanks gang. Mom's holding in there, the doctor said she'd be in moderate pain for three weeks and mild pain another three beyond that. In the meantime I'm trying to make sure she doesn't move anything heavier than a saucer for at least a few days.

We will definitely do brunch! My top two choices would be Pop (which has a brunch menu as well) or Creme de la Crepe. You all should check out the "Food" page on the website and let me know which one looks more appealing.

Matt, glad your mom is ok.

Creme de la Crepe! I have not been to the one in Pasadena, but there is also one in Culver City and it is awesome and the Culver City one at least has cutie boy french waiters and they are adorable!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And they do have chicken sausage options! Pop doesn't seem to have any meat I can eat, although their non-meat things do sound fancy as well.

It looks like the weather will be perfect! Sunny. Light breeze (less than 10mph). Humidity under 50% during the days (it gets a bit moist at night, but the temp dips, so it won't be balmy). And the temperature looks to be mid 70's to low 80's for highs. Bring your sun hat and sunblock for walkabout adventures. And swimsuits wouldn't be a bad idea either. Gotta love SoCal weather.
