Confirmed with a friend who lives close-ish (can't remember if he said 20 min or 20 mi...I should check...in LA they're potentially very different things) that I can crash with him for some portion of the F2F.

Now to try to get some posting in before June so you guys can remember who I am...

OK, I have booked my flight, a room for Friday through Sunday, and the hotel is checking to see if they can offer the group rate on Thursday. (If they can't get that rate down some I may just stay closer to LAX since I'll be getting in pretty late Thursday night anyway.)

I haven't started looking at flights yet, but it'll likely be Friday and Saturday at the hotel.

The status is NOT quo.

The hotel did offer to extend a room for Sunday night, so I hope they will also extend the rate for Thursday. Also, yay!

Oh, shit, is she really? Of course, I've got Matilda so I suspect that any doings tonight involving Zenkitty and San Francisco might not be so kid-friendly. Awesomely fun and possibly delicious, but not kidly.

ZOMG, ya'll, I think i can actually make it! I have the vacation time...it'll eat away some of my east-coast vacation time but i think i'm old enough that my parents can make do with a few days each, or come visit me if they want more daughter time. Likely arriving Friday and staying till Monday (maybe Tuesday).

Anyone looking for a roomie? Female non smokers preferred ;)

eta: i was thinking about driving, but just don't have the time before for the trip. So no car for me unless i rent one, which doesn't seem very necessary in lovely pasadena.

eta2: I *could* drive to SoCal before my trip east, leave the car at whatever airport works out to the best flight to DC, then drive home after the F2F....hrm....how worth it is it to have another hybrid (honda) available for day trips?
