I took my first step...putting it on the calendar so that when I get staffed on a project in the next week or two, I can remember to see if that'll be a busy week or if I should be able to ask for it off.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Thanks Kristen - don't do that yet, as I don't actually have confirmation that I'll be able to get the time off as of today. But hopefully I'll know by early next week and be able to start scheduling my trip.
All right, I've taken the time off work! I haven't booked anything yet, but anyone looking for a roommate Thursday, Friday, Saturday? (Oh, there's no special room rate on Thursday. Well, I haven't figured out when is best to come yet.)
PC, looks like I will be able to do the roomie thing Friday-Sunday. I should have my plane tickets and be able to say definitely after the weekend.
Double yay! I emailed my contact to see if she can get you the reduced rate for th Sunday night as well. You can go ahead and book the room now (if it's possible to get the lower rate, she will change it; it may not be given our contract).
Matt H and Beth are staying in the hotel tonight (they're in town overnight to pick up speakers), and they promise to give us the inside scoop on it.
The next Buffista F2F too much candy can taste like bacon.
Liese, I saw that and almost posted it! And then forgot. Heh.
Good news! Beth and Matt loved the hotel. They said it’s incredibly nice, and there’s a free shuttle service anywhere within three miles.
Also, conveniently, since our house is three miles away, that means free shuttle service to the BBQ Friday night. Hurray!
Confirmed with a friend who lives close-ish (can't remember if he said 20 min or 20 mi...I should check...in LA they're potentially very different things) that I can crash with him for some portion of the F2F.
Now to try to get some posting in before June so you guys can remember who I am...
