Laura: really almost any hotel in the Loop or Magnificent Mile area are good. You can look here for hotels by area:

If you're bargain hunting I had very good luck using Travelocity in Chicago. Just keep a tight focus on the downtown area and limit it to four star hotels and you can get a good deal.

Oh yeah, a coat. I know I have one somewhere. ChiKat, we will be in total vacation mode so a field trip is not out of the question. I would hate to be so close and not see you!

I haven't really done any hunting yet. When I locate a bargain I'll post the hotel name and see if there is something awful to know about it.

Finding Nemo. Total kids show. We have a performance Friday night and 2 shows on Saturday (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).

Yay for mini-F2F with dcp today. Did a little boating but the port engine didn't want to cooperate so we came back in. Short version, good weather, good food, good company. Sitting out on the deck catching up with technology now.
