There are no absolutes. No right and wrong. Haven't you learned anything working for the Powers? There are only choices.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I have no sprog and hence no idea, but it strikes me that the F2F could be one heck of a travelswithchild blogfest...

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Well, it's not like you couldn't find a babysitter for a little kid-free debauchery ...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Aww, man, I would LOVE to see sproglets up that weekend. PLAYDATE!

Our wings are not tired.

I will possibly have sprog this time. They might even be enticed to babysit, but the sprog would end up addicted to WoW. It is so much easier to travel with teens that are perfectly happy to be left alone in hotel rooms as long as there is internet access.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If I attend this year it will probably be sans bebe due to the high cost of travel. I think I can get myself there with frequent flyer miles, but not myself plus spouse & child.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

FWIW, I would love to see Buffista-sprog at the F2F, even if it's not sure that I can go, with my jobfree state and all.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

::paying taxes in the same state Theo is::

If I can make it, I know I wouldn't consider the experience complete without a Matilda sighting.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

H'm. Let me ponder. The thought of solo debauchery is intriguing, but the thought of less debauchery and more sharing the experience and all the good hearts of the Buffistas with Matilda (and Matilda with Lily and Emeline and any other available sprog) is very tempting. And with the F2F where it is, travel time would be not-miserable and we wouldn't have to contend with jet lag.

Must ponder more.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

On the one hand, I feel pretty sure all of us would freaking love to meet Matilda in person. But on the other hand, we all love you and want to have you have an awesome time too. So I'm saying go with your gut. I totally support the notion of grownup time sans bebe, if you are so inclined, and there will be no lack of people wanting to talk & dance & laugh & imbibe with you sans baby, but equally there'll be no lack of people delighted in having the chance to dote on wee 'Tilda. Also, playdates and potential babysitters (as well as the gazillion Buffista uncles and aunties).

So - don't let guilt weigh with you, in either direction. Not that I think you are, but just in case. Um.

MAN, I hope you get to come.
