This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Our wings are not tired

So, we'd have rooms, but we'd just always be in the lodge.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What's the group rate for sleeping in the lobby?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Actually, that makes Asilomar even more attractive to me personally! but probably lets it right out for an F2F.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I am interested in Asilomar at some pont - so get us an idea of rates and stuff - even if not for the F2f , but possibly a small one , javacat

The status is NOT quo.

Just in case anyone else missed the Press announcement:

HEAR YE, HEAR YE

Voting for the 2012 West Coast F2F is now open! The proposal for Asilomar can be found here: Java cat "F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us" Nov 25, 2011 1:49:24 pm PST

and for Pasadena can be found here: Pix "F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us" Nov 27, 2011 12:07:49 pm PST

Here is the link to the survey to vote: [link]

As we decided in the F2F proposal, location voting will be open for one week. The vote opens today (11/29) and will close next Tuesday (12/6), at which point I will post the results. We will then proceed with hotel and price details and start booking!

------

If Pasadena wins, I may do another vote to choose between the weekend I’d originally proposed (June 16-17) and the following weekend (Jun 23-24). I need to check with ND first to see how likely it is that his summer business travel will have started at that point.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

What's the group rate for sleeping in the lobby?

So we get to hear a hotel person actually say, "Will the vampire people please leave the lobby"?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Philly peeps!

I will have a layover between 11:07 am and 1:30 at the Philly airport on 1/3/12, if anyone wants to/can meet me for lunch or something.

I've never been to the Philly 'port, so I know nothing about whether this is feasible for security, but I would be delighted, if it's possible.

not your mom's socks.

(removed from Beep once I realized I was in Beep. DOH. Sorry Stompies)

Cool, Erin!

I don't know whether you'll be switching gates and/or want to come back through security or not? Keep us posted as the dates get closer. If your flights get fubar due to weather, we'll keep an eye on that too. I'm about 30 minutes from the airport without traffic.

I don't know how if I have to go out of security to get to the food court, but my flights are both US Airways, arriving/departing at terminals B and/or C, Sox.

Because books.

I'm pretty sure there's something to eat on the outside side of security, as well as inside, but no one can get through security without a boarding pass, yes? Or you would have to come through it, and then go back.
