This must be what going mad feels like.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, I'll file you under "No does not mean no" then.

That's not accurate. I didn't say I wouldn't take "No" as an adequate answer.

I'm merely commenting on the amount of sought-out chaos in that closed system.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm sorry--I missed the implication that it would be entirely positive if nothing ever happened in bars.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That reminds me of a Cory Branan song

I love you. And that song.

There's no such implication. But I'm not sure what inference you're drawing from my comment.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I love you. And that song.

Gurl, I know you feel me. And right back at you.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Btw, I know you have an interest in Asian history--I thought you in particular might enjoy the Pacific Asia Museum here in town.

I would love it!

Liese, you and Dave have to come to the F2F so that we can hang out again!

Odds better now that he knows you!

Fewer bad things would happen in bars if people followed this.

I'm sorry I derailed the thread! Please return to F2F planning!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Portland has Powell's. IJS.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Powell's, and Cass, and erin_obscure, and SA. And also an art district to die for, and a fabulous chain of swanky arthouse movie theaters and event venues, and more craft breweries than you can shake any number of sticks at. And Cass and erin and SA! (2/3 of whom have been sadly lurkish lately, but still. Excellent humans all.)

The status is NOT quo.

Yep, Portland rocks. It would be great if someone there wants to organize.

I’ve been looking at my calendar, and I think I may propose two wildly different dates when the proposal goes live: one in April and one in June. Heat really isn’t the issue (anyone who’s lived in SoCal knows about June Gloom), but I figured that might give people more options. I’m thinking the weekends of April 16th or 28th and June 16th right now. June would be much easier for me, but April would be doable if I took a personal day. Hm. Plotting.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

xposty from Beep Me:

I'm unexpectedly in Seattle today. Should any Seattlistas have time this afternoon, it would be great to connect. If not, I consider it a sign that I should sleep and watch tv, so it's good either way.
