I have lots of boots! And a tiara.
And I've been to the frozen yogurt place, AIFG.
This one was called "The Lion's Den"
Ha! That reminds me of a Cory Branan song that, as far as I know, exists only on bootleg recordings that smonster and I and a bunch of our friends pass around. Something about an albino hooker with a tattoo across her knuckles that read sin, but she spelled it with two n's, and waking up in a kiddie pool filled with gin with three broke ribs and a grin. But they met at a club called The Lion's Den. With Cory's accent, all of that rhymes.
Liese, that story is AWESOME.
I added Rose Tree Cottage and Vroman’s to the original proposal post. Pix "F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us" Oct 21, 2011 10:32:51 am PDT
Hee, Pix, you in particular can picture Dave sauntering into the cowboy bar, and the affect it might have.
Rose Tree Cottage looks lovely!

I may have chortled. Out loud. In a public place. The best part is that he didn’t just say, “Thanks, but I’m married. This is my wife.”
Btw, I know you have an interest in Asian history--I thought you in particular might enjoy the Pacific Asia Museum here in town. It has a stellar reputation, and I’m ashamed to admit I’ve never been. I think the best part of people coming to visit is that it forces you to be a tourist in your own city.
Liese, you and Dave have to come to the F2F so that we can hang out again!
The best part is that he didn’t just say, “Thanks, but I’m married. This is my wife.”
It's a principle thing! She should just back off because he says he's not interested! It shouldn't take a pre-existing relationship!
t /has large issues
She should just back off because he says he's not interested!
Nothing would ever happen in bars if people followed this credo.

Well, I'll file you under "No does not mean no" then. I'm still sticking to my guns, though.

Fewer bad things would happen in bars if people followed this.
Well, I'll file you under "No does not mean no" then.
That's not accurate. I didn't say
I
wouldn't take "No" as an adequate answer.
I'm merely commenting on the amount of sought-out chaos in that closed system.
