Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

I think Vegas would be West Coast.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The plus with Pasadena is that there are local Buffistas there. That always makes the turnout bigger, and it's easier to plan.

Also, a number of Buffistae regularly go to Vegas anyway. So it is the site of many mini-F2Fs.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

OTOH, there are some of us who haven't been to Vegas and would love a chance to go there and spend time with buffistas. Assuming it's feasible, money and time-wise.

(not saying that Pasadena wouldn't be a good choice--just that I'd hate to see Vegas out of he running because other people go there frequently)

Hee. We did Seattle for the last F2F, so I suspect it won’t be there again. But heck, if someone wants to propose it, that’s cool!

I can almost guarantee that none of the Seattle people have the bandwidth to propose/organize a F2F. (Watch, Barb will prove me wrong. ::grin::

but, you guys did it last time, you're off the hook.

I'm all for doing it where there are buffistas who can drive there and are willing to organize.

Localistas make it easier. Can be done, organizing a F2F in a city you don't know (ahem, Chicago, and I'd STILL like to find a way to add that to my resume) but peeps in the know ease the way.

Allyson did such a great job in LA and I'm STILL pissed that I was too shy of her and ita ! to belly up and chat more. Although I think ita ! had a krav test or something that day and was tired as fuck, and showed up for just a bit.

Heh. I still remember doing a smoky eye on bon bon, and wearing Plei's latex corset (and goggling at Plei's Box o' Polish and Makeup) and hanging out with Laura, Brendon, Pete and Jilli in the pool of the Safari. I swear I've seen that hotel in movies.

And I rememer stealing a shaker of salt with meara in Chi, and shrift walking into the hotel room before it got PACKED and immediately pulling out her bottle of Maker's. Good times; it's been too long.

As we have found, not having a localista or having the organizer not be a localista makes it harder.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh absolutely! Although I will do my darndest to promote the heck out of my city, I will happily attempt to attend any F2F, wherever it ends up.

Lessee, on the West Coast, we've had LA, Seattle and SF, right?

2020, we're going international, right? I'm thinking London or Greece! (Joking. I couldn't afford freaking Denver this year, and it's almost next door.)
