Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I think for sure we need to consider revisiting cities, if for the cost factor if nothing else. Our original cities were cheap because they were airport travel hubs. The more cities we do, the less likely this is to happen, raising the cost for everyone, and also making it less likely we'll have a multitude of localistas.

I forgot we did Seattle. Because I couldn't go. ::sob::

And that's a good point -- we've been doing this for ten years, so it might get harder. I'm all for new cities, though; it's all good.

Trust my rage

I"m curious - does Las Vegas count as West Coast or is ocean required?

The status is NOT quo.

I think Vegas is definitely West Coast.

Yep. this was my thinking. I’m proposing Pasadena rather than “LA,” but that’s a pretty arbitrary distinction since the hotel you stayed in last time was actually Burbank and a 15 minute drive from Pasadena. But we are a travel hub with four airports within driving/shuttle distance, so I think it might make it easier for people to come. Also, Pasadena is unique and has a ton of food and entertainment options in walking distance from the hotel I’m going to suggest--not to mention walking distance to the metro, which will take you all over LA if you want to avoid a car.

I have no idea if I can go (prob. not with new baby) but we've done LA and Seattle and Las Vegas has both hotel rooms and cheap flights. And is a buffista sort of place.

I think Vegas would be West Coast.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The plus with Pasadena is that there are local Buffistas there. That always makes the turnout bigger, and it's easier to plan.

Also, a number of Buffistae regularly go to Vegas anyway. So it is the site of many mini-F2Fs.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

OTOH, there are some of us who haven't been to Vegas and would love a chance to go there and spend time with buffistas. Assuming it's feasible, money and time-wise.

(not saying that Pasadena wouldn't be a good choice--just that I'd hate to see Vegas out of he running because other people go there frequently)

Hee. We did Seattle for the last F2F, so I suspect it won’t be there again. But heck, if someone wants to propose it, that’s cool!

I can almost guarantee that none of the Seattle people have the bandwidth to propose/organize a F2F. (Watch, Barb will prove me wrong. ::grin::
